Looking for a quick and nourishing side dish that fits in with breakfast, lunch, or dinner? These easy air fryer sweet potatoes are a regular food prep side in my kitchen — ready in about 15 minutes!

This is part of the Easy Recipe Basics series — simple, nourishing recipes to help you eat well, feel your best, and keep healthy living uncomplicated.
Ingredients
1 large sweet potato, peeled and diced into ½-inch cubes
1 teaspoon avocado oil
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon cumin
Instructions
Peel and dice sweet potato: Dice into ½-inch cubes
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
Prep the sweet potato: In the air fryer basket, toss the diced sweet potatoes with avocado oil, salt, pepper, and cumin until evenly coated.
Air fry: Add the sweet potatoes to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Cook for 15 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
Serve and enjoy! They should be crisp on the edges and tender inside.
Tips
For even crispier results, avoid overcrowding the basket — cook in batches if needed.
These make a great base for a cottage cheese, taco meat + avocado bowl (will include a recipe for this on the blog soon!)

Nutrition Coach Note
Sweet potatoes are rich in fiber, vitamins A and C, beta-carotene, and complex carbohydrates that support steady energy and fullness.
