You Don’t Need a Perfect Plan, You Can Just Take a Faithful Next Step

Around this time of year, there is always a lot of talk about "New Year, New You" and getting New Year's Resolutions underway. We don't need to overhaul our lives and change everything about it once the new year begins. There also isn't anything wrong with wanting to care for your body and your health. God wants this for us too. He has blessed us with our bodies here on earth, and we are to take care of them, but that doesn't mean being obsessed with them.

I get excited for each new year and setting goals and planning for the year ahead. But I'm going to take a different approach this year. I'm going to work on one goal at a time and toward aligning with who God says I am and who He calls me to be. I am not going to focus on perfection and getting everything "right." I am going to turn to the One who already is perfection, and has blessed me with this gift as I am right now.
I was listening to a podcast this week called "Transformed" and it was talking about prayerfully planning. In Proverbs 16:9 it says, "The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps." It is good and diligent to plan, to have goals for your life, but the Lord is the One in control and it is right to trust in the steps He takes us on.
As a nutrition coach, I want you to feel healthy and strong and have energy to do all the things God has for your life. I do not want to overwhelm you and have you change all of your everyday rhythms. But I am here to help guide you, and take things one step at a time toward stewarding your health well. If you want to take the next step together, in our first meeting, we will discuss what is most important to you health and nutrition-wise, and we will go from there! If you would like to start with an introduction into my coaching that is self-led, check out the 3 Day Gentle Reset. It is completely free to sign-up and receive the PDF.
I pray that 2026 brings you joy and peace in knowing you are loved by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He wants the best for you, and I am thrilled if He invites me into working with you.
